Warning Signs of an Overloaded Electrical Panel

Faulty electrical panels lead to a massive amount of injuries each year. Let’s take a look at some warning signs of electrical panel hazards.

Power Outages

Power outages include anything from tripped breakers and flickering lights. If your breakers flicker often, this is a sure sign that your electrical panel is overloaded. Everyone in Massachusetts knows about our occasional brutal, summer storms. When these occur, panels can become temporarily overloaded.

Sparks

Something is seriously wrong when you witness sparks flying in every direction. Turn on the power and examine your panel immediately for indications of smoke. Call Cardoso Electrical Services to be on the safe side!

Overheating

Naturally, switch plates, outlets and cords will get warm. It’s when they get HOT that you have a problem. Cut the power right away and contact our residential electricians.
